Cyberdeck — A Personal Life & Creative Computing System

Side project

I wanted to build a computer that felt less like a traditional laptop and more like a personal tool for thinking, creating, and understanding my own patterns. My goal was to combine journaling, voice recording, digital art, personal data tracking, and an offline AI assistant into one portable device. Rather than relying entirely on cloud services, I wanted the system to keep my personal information local while gradually learning from the data I choose to give it.

I built the prototype around a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, paired with a 7-inch HDMI touchscreen, portable power bank, Bluetooth keyboard, USB microphone, speakers, and external USB hub. The software side is designed to eventually include a private diary and voice recorder, mood-based interface, personal dashboard for life updates, digital painting tools, and lightweight local machine-learning features that can identify trends in my daily data. The result is an evolving “personal computer” designed around my habits and creative workflow rather than a generic device.
